PRO/M/TEC, a German company, developed a device using microwave technology for brix measurement in the sugar industry and first tested it in 1996 on continuously cooked sugar vacuum crystallization pans and was very successful.

Microwave density measurement has many advantages over nuclear measurement, which is why in almost all sugar factories in Europe and Turkey, brix (concentration) measurement is carried out with PRO/M/TEC devices by switching from the nuclear method.

As of 2006, there are 2000 PRO/M/TEC devices in operation worldwide and over 150 in Turkey.

With the launch of their new device, µ-ICC 2.45, they have consolidated their global footprint.
